How a report is judged

The publisher registers the article's URL, a reward per correction and a report fee, and funds the pool.

Report
A reader quotes one statement, cites a source that contradicts it, gives the SHA-256 of both pages as they saw them and pays the fee.

Quote check
Validators fetch the article, check its hash and look for the quote in its text. No match: quote not found.
IV
Contradiction
They fetch the source, check its hash and agree on one question: does the source directly contradict a factual claim in the statement?

Disclosures

Pinned pagesBoth pages are bound to the hashes in the report. If either page changes before validators fetch it, or cannot be fetched, the report reverts, nothing is recorded and the fee stays with you.

What the verdict meansValidators agree only on the verdict. The one-sentence note is the leader's own and is not checked by consensus.

One payout per errorA statement is paid once per article. A report needs the pool to cover one reward; the publisher can withdraw the pool at any time.
